Today, I'm excited to finally share the cover and title of my next novel.
THESE THINGS OF OURS has been in the works for quite some time, and I'm now about 85,000 words into the manuscript as I work through revisions. For reference, all three of The Reaper List novels clocked in at over 100K words, with Tin Man the shortest at 105K. [Kidd came in at a whopping 175K words!] While there's still editing ahead, the story has reached the point where it finally feels real enough to unveil.
Set against the backdrop of Kansas City in 1977, the novel blends historical fiction, mystery, and suspense as a series of brutal murders grips the city. Decades later, a modern-day reporter uncovers a family secret that forces him to revisit one of the city's darkest chapters...
...and the disgraced baseball player forever linked to it.
There's still work to do before it's ready for publication, so the release date remains TBD, but I wanted to share this milestone with everyone who has encouraged me along the way. I can't wait to tell you more in the months ahead.
